Meet Beth Hope, John “Jack” Downing, Peter Glowacki, and Matt O’Hara

Candidates for Board of Education at Glenbrook High School District 225

Beth, Jack, Peter, and Matt are parents of recent Glenbrook graduates and current students that care about our community and the schools. They have come together to run together. They are focused on tackling the tough issues facing our community while building upon the robust foundation that has distinguished it.

Parents that care and have the experience to further distinguish the Glenbrooks.

Glenbrook High School District 225 serves over 5,000 students in northern Cook County and consists of Glenbrook North High School, Glenbrook South High School, and Glenbrook Off-Campus. It has been recognized as the #2 district in the country and prides itself for its focus on helping students thrive in Academics, Athletics, Activities, and the Arts (the 4 A’s).

As incumbents, Peter and Matt, have served on the board over the years helping guide the district as it balances budgets, sets policies, and develops and executes the district’s strategic plans to further help distinguish it.

As new candidates, Beth and Jack, have volunteered in the community and worked closely with families to ensure each and every child has opportunities to find their niche and succeed. 

All four take pride in what District 225 has to offer but realize that as a leader in education District 225 needs to vigilantly and consistently improve while leveraging resources smartly.
